Wifi 6 needs to be on your router and your devices to be supported, nothing to do with availability in your area. The XB7 is better because of the system-on-a-chip (SoC) that it uses, Wi-Fi 6 support and a 2.5 Gbps port. The main thing is the SoC. You shouldn't get any latency spikes or dropped packets with it. I also have the gigabit plan (1200 down 35 up) and with my old XB7-T I was getting around 500-600mbps being in the same room as the router and now with the XB7-CM I'm getting between 700-800mbps in the same room and the range is improved as well.
